Open Day

Zo 25.04.202110:00-17:00

At our annual Open Day, we give you an inside look at the ins and outs of our school of arts. Teachers will answer all your questions. You can explore the campus, dialogue with students and watch or listen to their work. The ideal moment to find out if studying art at KASK & Conservatory is something for you.

With a dose of optimism, we are waiting for the pandemic conditions to decide how we will organize the Open Day in 2021.

Info moments

Three times a year we organize an information moment about our programs and majors. If you have any questions about your registration, admission tests, your program, exemptions, the cost of your studies or what you can expect from the coming academic year, you can come to us on that day. Students, teachers of the programs and study track counselors will help you.

KANON is a free culture festival for everyone. We are a diverse group of artists brought together by the recent cultural budget cuts announced by the Flemish government. We plan to release an explosion of culture in the streets of Gent on Saturday, April 25, 2020. What is better than the public space to initiate an open conversation on the relevance of culture, through a joyful activation of our streets? (Event to be rescheduled)

Free your mind and balance your feet!  The making of a minimal Peshawari Chappal.

Part of the mission of Future Footwear Foundation is to explore how we walk and run as modern humans. It is clear that the foot plays a crucial role. And with the foot, eventually footwear.  This tutorial features the making of a minimal Peshawari chappal. Sizing is just an indication for a shoe sized 39, but we encourage you to use your feet as an indication and draw the patterns on them, check them on your feet and adjust where needed. No foot is the same. The workshop is a collaboration with Qurratul Ain (master student animation) and Herman Stroobants (lecturer Shoe Design, KASK Fashion). You can find the introduction on instagramThe making of a minimal Peshawari Chappal.
