In around 1860, a group of musicians trekked through the English provinces. The ensemble, which called itself The Party, included resounding names, such as soprano Helen Sherrington, harmonium player Jacques Nicolaas Lemmens, violinist Henri Vieuxtemps and bass player Giovanni Bottesini. Today, Hendrickje Van Kerckhove, Bart Rodyns, Eliot Lawson and Lode Leire are bringing that illustrious quartet back to life. With fresh arrangements from musical reworks from Italy and France, they transform the MIRY into a lively festival.
