Film students earn prizes (01.10.15)

The past few weeks a lot of (former) film students earned prizes:
• During the Film Festival in Ostend Lukas Dhont won the award for Best Short Film Fiction with L'Infini.
• Congratulations to the four KASK students who won the competition in Ostend Filmproject a SABAM prize of € 1000: Jeroen Ceulebrouck, Romane Claus, Niels Faes and Anne Reijniers. Congratulations also to the other participating students - the jury found the quality of the KASK projects generally very high.
• Ayan and the White Balloon by Vida Dena has been selected for the prestigious DOK Leipzig.
• For the first time KASK took part in the competition CILECT (CILECT is an international network of film schools) and Karolien Raeymaekers’ Oma won the third prize.
• In the meanwhile Peter Vandenabeele signed a contract with Gonella Productions (sales agent), BE TV and Dalton Distribution for his film Hondenleven.
• Jeroen Ceulebrouck is selected for Animasivo, Melbourne International Animation Festival and Sydney Film Festival. The film also won the award for best animated film in the student jury of the International Film Schools Festivals in Uruguay.
• 28 rue Brichaut by Hannes Verhoustraete won the Prix des Parrains on Fide Saint Ouen.
• Dissonant by Jurgen Willocx selected for Busho Film Festival.
• Thomas Nuijtens’ "The End of Monica” was selected for the student competition of the Dutch Film Festival. At that festival Emily Lefebvre’s Mahonie was also shown.
