Retirement meeting
If you would like to share your experiences, provide feedback, or raise any points that could contribute to the functioning of the school, we would be happy to schedule a meeting. Please let the human resources department or your head of department know, and we will gladly make time for you.
HOGENT account
Your HOGENT email account will remain active for 30 days from the start date of your retirement. During that time, you can set up your own forwards and upload or download documents via OneDrive. After those 30 days, your account will be blocked and after 90 days it will be deleted permanently.
If there is a reason to keep your account active for longer than 30 days, please contact someone from the human resources department.
Your staff card is linked to your HOGENT account and will therefore no longer be usable 30 days after the end of your employment.
IT equipment
Do you use a computer, screen, or other IT equipment from KASK & Conservatorium? To return this, make an appointment with Thomas Janssens, thomas.janssens@hogent.be.
The software licenses linked to your HOGENT account (such as Adobe) can no longer be used.
Key
Your Salto access badge will no longer work from the start date of your retirement.
If you also have a regular key to a room or office, please return it to the Cloquet reception desk or the Hoogpoort reception desk.
Expenses or commuting subscription
Remember to submit your final expense reports or bicycle allowance application to the finance department in good time.
Do you have a railcard with NMBS, De Lijn, MIVB, or a combination of these via HOGENT? This will remain valid until the end date of the current subscription, but it will not be renewed.
End-of-year allowance
You will receive an end-of-year allowance in December if you took on an assignment during the reference period.
For permanent employees, the reference period in higher education runs from January 1 to September 30 of the year in which you receive the end-of-year allowance. For all other staff members (temporary statutory, GP, COP), the reference period runs from September 1 of the previous year to June 30 of the year in which you receive the end-of-year allowance.
