A Death or a Birth is an expo around the eternal search for balance between empathy and selfishness. By juxtaposing and contrasting empathy and selfishness, it explores their relationship and how they are contrasted in everyday life. Selfishness is too often seen as something negative and Empathy too often as something good. However, both have their weaknesses and strengths and it is becoming increasingly difficult in these turbulent times to know the right balance between the two. We cannot fight every battle but how can we deal with the guilt of leaving some things out. Always having to do better sucks energy and it's hard to keep hope sometimes. Bringing text and image together in a colourful and playful tableau, questions are thrown at the viewer and the viewer is challenged to look for the answers themselves.
