24.10.24, 19:30, Karim Abu Alroos, Gaza, How Do We Understand the Siege?

Students of KASK & Conservatorium for Palestine invite Karim Abu Alroos. This writer, human rights researcher and Palestinian affairs specialist will lead a discussion and talk in Het Paviljoen on Thursday 24 October.

What does it mean to be born under siege, to live your entire life in it, and now to also face extermination in it? How have Gazans lived under siege? How did they communicate with the outside world? What literature, art, music, politics, and sciences have they produced? How does politics operate within the siege? What spaces existed where the siege could be breached within Gaza? Experiences, stories, and examples of what the siege on Gaza was like to better understand the context of the genocide that is happening now.
