04.11.24 – 10.11.24, Naïs Elouard, STILLEVENS

Naïs Elouard starts from the traditional theme of still life, but uses it to explore shadow, repetition and texture. Stacked objects create the repetition of planes and lines. Naïs searches for a balance based on these repetitions. In smaller works on wood, Elouard also starts from a still life and extracts from it only what seems most important: light versus dark and movement by translating sharp shapes into sharp touches.
