KASKcinema is celebrating summer with this heart-warming animated film. In a sun-drenched suburb of Florida, food delivery driver Billy 5000 dreams of five thousand dollars and a way out of his algorithmic existence. His plan? Unknown. But then Donut—a blue, doughnut-shaped alien—lands with a mission that seems as mysterious as it is ridiculous: to escape the evil juice multinational Dolphin Groves. Boys Go to Jupiter by multidisciplinary artist Julian Glander is a psychedelic hangout film with a lo-fi aesthetic that feels like a mobile game, but with an old soul. Glander's world is full of skeuomorphic pixels, absurd interludes and digital melancholy.

Beneath the satirical surface lies a sharp reflection on the gig economy and existential loneliness. Because how do you navigate a world where everything is temporary, optimised and ironic? With voice work by Elsie Fisher and Julio Torres, among others, the film balances smoothly between dry comedy and sincere wonder. A colourful quest with AI-sensitive bananas, soured juice companies and a heart that secretly beats for every dropout with dreams. Boys Go to Jupiter is vaporwave cinema with brains and a soul.

This film will be introduced by KASKcinema's very own Elisa De Schepper and Lennart Soberon.
