What do you know... about witches? When young Suzie Bannion arrives at a prestigious ballet school in Germany, it seems like the start of a dream career. However, her stay quickly turns into a nightmare when a series of gruesome murders takes place at the academy. Suzie decides to unravel the mystery, but soon discovers that what is going on in the school is much more sinister than she could ever have imagined.

Dario Argento's technicolour masterpiece Suspiria can best be described as a fairytale fever dream. The first part of his Three Mothers trilogy is also his most iconic film. As the godfather of the Italian giallo genre, he defined his eclectic style and expressionistic use of colour here. With a hypnotic soundtrack by prog rock band Goblin, Suspiria delivers a feast of gore, over-the-top acting performances and witchcraft.

This film will be introduced by film researcher Atalya De Cock.
