Open End is an interdisciplinary project between the Faculty of Man and Welfare and KASK & Conservatorium. Together with numerous students, researchers Joris Van Poucke and Barbara Raes studied farewell rituals for three years.
What are contemporary needs? How does one give meaning to death in a largely secularised society? How can the care sector respond? And in what way can artists and designers contribute to this? The project culminates in an exhibition and a book in December.
