28.04.24 – 19.05.24, Jumping Fences at Vleeshal

Vleeshal invites the evolving exhibition project Jumping Fences organised at Het Paviljoen to Middelburg.

Jumping Fences is a platform for interdisciplinary artistic development, with a focus on horizontal collaboration between artists, designers and curators. By connecting designers and artists in a comprehensive and collaborative residency programme, Jumping Fences invites them to deconstruct the boundaries between their artistic practices. The project presents an evolving exhibition at Het Paviljoen in Ghent, where all the artists each show their work in an overlapping order, by focusing on sharing space. In this group exhibition at Vleeshal, the artists show work that has already been presented and work that will be shown in the next stages of the project. This allows the past, present and future of the project to coexist. Jumping Fences was developed by a collective of nine curators, all participating in the curatorial studies postgraduate programme.

Jumping Fences features work by Paola Siri Renard, Céleste Buyle, Quinten Vermeulen, Jan Vandeplancke, Lore Janssens, Haron Barashed, Yawen Fu, Sjoerd Beijers, and Seppe-Hazel Laeremans.

Opening

Vleeshal cordially invites you to the opening of the group exhibition Jumping Fences by Céleste Buyle, Quinten Vermeulen, Jan Vandeplancke, Lore Janssens, Haron Barashed, Yawen Fu, Sjoerd Beijers, and Seppe-Hazel Laeremans on Friday May 3, 2024 from 19:00 tot 21:00.

After the opening, you can stay for our afterparty, which starts at 21:00 at Vleeshal.
