In the mind of a budding concert pianist, little captures the imagination more than the Queen Elizabeth Competition. In the mind of many a music lover equally so. For this occasion, MIRY Concert Hall was able to snare two emerging top talents who are currently, as we speak, preparing for the competition in the chapel.
Nikola Meeuwsen & Arthur Hinnewinkel will play a double concert and the programme could not be more diverse. These grandmasters of the piano are featured tonight: from Haydn and Chopin, through Liszt and Ravel, to the Russian brutality of Rachmaninov. And as icing on the cake, the best that ever came out of Hungary: Ligeti. In short, an evening not to be missed!
