Are you a Deviner?
A Deviner is passionate about this ever-changing connected world. As a digital maker, you look for how you can improve services or products. A Deviner brings innovation that makes life more pleasant, calmer, simpler or perhaps even more exciting. The user's experience is always central and forms the basis for decisions during the design and development process. This requires an exploratory and creative attitude on the part of the students. Problem-solving skills are central, and digital technology is a means of response. In this context, design is not only a graphic matter, but also a way of thinking in which you devise, research, develop and communicate solutions.
Creative digital experts
Devine offers classical lectures, practical classes and intensive integration projects. The 3 pillars of the programme, UX research, Design and Development, come together during these integration projects. Throughout the 3 academic years, these projects become increasingly real, challenging and complex. In the second year, for instance, you will go on an international exchange to the Netherlands where you will work on a challenging project together with students from Hogeschool Rotterdam. As a final year student, you will work in multidisciplinary projects on social themes such as mobility, unemployment, immigration, etc. You will choose a specialisation and become an expert in UX research, design or development. You refine your Devine skills and work together with students from the various specialisations during the bachelor's thesis. You conclude your studies with an internship. You will work for 3 months in one of the top companies in the creative digital sector, both nationally and internationally.
Deviner's unique work profile
In this sector, Devine is the reference for top talent. Once graduated, you immediately start working as Experience Designer, Front-end Developer, Interaction Designer, Motion Designer, Full Stack Developer, Mobile Developer or simply Deviner. Due to the unique profile, the demand for Deviners is high, making job security a reality. Every day, these alumni shape our digital lives by working for public, non-profit and commercial sectors alike. Deviners investigate wicked problems (health, mobility, energy, welfare, climate, education... ) and work on smart digital solutions that add value for the organisations and people involved. The solutions developed contribute to a sustainable society both for current and future generations.
