08.05.24, 20:00, Dr. Jan Bolt
At the request of Danny Devos, Dr. Jan Bolt will give a lecture about his work as a forensic pathologist and his internal and external clinical examination of victims of accidents and acts of violence. Jan Bolt was born in the Netherlands, studied and worked in Ghent, and furthered his expertise in forensic medicine in Germany, obtaining the title of 'Facharzt für Rechtsmedizin'. After 12 years, he returned to Belgium to pursue his career. His area of work extends from Veurne to Oudenaarde.
What exactly does a forensic pathologist do? What are their tasks? What types of examinations are conducted on deceased individuals? These are some of the questions that will be addressed during the lecture. Dr. Jan Bolt intersperses his lecture with images of deceased victims (not for sensitive viewers) and his own humor.
