04.05.24, 15:00, NICC to meet you, podcast launch

NICC to meet you is a podcast project centered around the artist’s practice. It consists of a series of dialogues between artists, focusing on the ‘hows’ and ‘whats’ of their work. They interview each other to delve into the similarities and differences in artistic practices, thus revealing the diversity of views, strategies, and processes that enrich the visual arts landscape.

Clara Lissens — visual artist and musician — composed a jingle to be used at the beginning and end of each episode of the podcast. The six episodes feature conversations between: Charlotte Koopman and Marisa Anderson, Shervin Sheikh Rezaei and Margarita Maximova, Karina Beumer and Laurence Petrone, Idris Sevenans and Tomas Beaujean, David Bernstein and Günbike Erdermir, Mekhitar Garabedian, Slow Reading Club and Kate Briggs. As a final episode, there is a poetic interpretation of the five conversations, edited into one cohesive piece by Lucia Mrakovcic, the curator of this project.

NICC is immensely grateful for the generous support of URGENT.FM in the recording process, and particularly to Tania and Diederik. This project was made possible with the support of the Flemish Government, Hiscox and KIOSK.
