Anaïs Van Ertvelde is a writer and historian. At Leiden University, she focuses on the history of social movements, the body, gender and disability. She was a columnist for De Morgen, wrote pieces for Belgian and Dutch newspapers and magazines, and has presented her texts on numerous stages. At de Bezige Bij, she published the books Vuile Lakens. A contemporary look at sexuality and Handicap. A liberation. At Lannoo, she published the essay Zorgangst.
