Getácine Pegorim is Brazilian by birth, but has lived in Belgium for quite some time. In São Paulo, he studied for 4 years with a disciple of A. B. Michelangeli. After short passages jn Poland and Amsterdam (Jan Wijn), he obtained his master's degree with Levente Kende and Jacques Dethiège at the KVMC Antwerp. 

His natural interest in singing and the song repertory started early and is today the core of his musical thinking. In addition, chamber music, and more specifically with cello, occupies a special place in his activities. Numerous recitals and master classes are an important source of knowledge. In the meantime, he has a long association with KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent.
