Shrouded in dust and a hint of melancholy, two brothers in Bratan board a train that takes them through the arid landscape of Tajikistan. What begins as a seemingly simple journey to a distant city for a medical examination unfolds as an intimate tale of youth, family and the tension between dreams and reality.

Director Bakhtyar Khudojnazarov turns this road movie into a poetic time capsule, in which the rigid Soviet heritage resonates through deserted villages and the wide, dusty steppes. The brothers, caught between their childish desire for adventure and the harsh world of adults, navigate a world about to change.

With dreamy cinematography and playful humour, Bratan sketches a universe where everyday reality and youthful imagination blend effortlessly. The train journey becomes a mirror for the search for connection and freedom, while the wistful soundtrack gently echoes the emotions through the landscapes.

This film will be introduced by filmmaker Zaur Kourazov.
