After graduating as a film director, Griet Van Reeth specialised in sound for film. During her career she worked as a sound designer, sound recording engineer, sound editor and boom operator on more than forty films. 

Additionally, she directs documentary films. She recently directed “Coup De Grâce” (feature - official selection Docville 2022), “FC Molenbeek Girls” (short - 2016) and  “31 Haltes” (feature - 2014), in collaboration with Dorothée van den Berghe. 

She also completed four academic research projects in the arts, focussing on the process-driven quest to use sound as a starting point for filmmaking, and how to transmit an experience through auditory traces.
