Lars Kwakkenbos lives and works in Brussels and Ghent. He studied history and art history in Leuven, Tours and Berlin. From 2002 to 2007 he worked as an editor for KLARA, and during those years he also wrote a lot about visual and performance arts, photography and (landscape) architecture. His pieces appeared in De Standaard, A+, A10, 'scape, Etcetera, Rekto:verso, Courant, the Flanders Architecture Yearbook, Obscuur, FotoMuseumMagazine and .tiff, among others. From 2008 to 2017 he worked as dramaturg for the Kunstenfestivaldesarts and in 2009 he was co-editor of the Culture Plan for Brussels. 

Since 2000, he has also frequently collaborated with artists such as Shila Anaraki & Stefan Prins, De Cleene & De Cleene, Alix Eynaudi, Max Pinckers and Sam Weerdmeester, Kristof Van Gestel, Marc Vanrunxt and David Weber-Krebs. In doing so, he takes on several roles: author, dramaturg, researcher and artistic advisor. He has been working for KASK & Conservatorium since 2008.
