Maï Calon is a filmmaker specialising in stop-motion and 2D animation. She obtained her Masters in Animation from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (now KASK & Conservatorium) in Ghent. Her work is characterised by a poetic approach to image, movement and sound, exploring themes such as wonder, silence, expectation and the power of the invisible.

Her films, which have been shown internationally in cities such as New York, Hiroshima, Amsterdam and Geneva, are a search for stories that make the invisible tangible and excite the viewer's imagination.
