Mirella Ruigrok studied at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, where she obtained the Higher Diploma in Recorder and the Master's degree in Performing Music. She also specialised in playing historical double reed instruments such as shawm, pommer and dulcian. She regularly performs in chamber music ensembles as well as in larger ensembles with both instrumental and vocal line-ups. As a teacher, she is attached to the Art Academy of Eeklo and KASK & Conservatorium.
