Simon De Winne is a performer and theatre maker. He graduated with a master's degree in drama from KASK & Conservatorium in 2011. Together with Timeau De Keyser and Hans Mortelmans, he founded the theatre company Tibaldus in 2011. In addition, Simon De Winne worked on a freelance basis with other theatre companies (including Hof van Eede, Kabinet K, Kopergietery, Walpurgis, HETPALEIS, Nevski Prospekt, Het Kip, Lazarus) and filmmakers (including Christina Vandekerckhove, Menna Eldiaby).

On a policy level, he was a permanent theatre commissioner for the Flemish government from 2016 - 2022. Simon also engages in social-artistic projects and regularly supervises workshops with (vulnerable) young people in youth theatres and primary/secondary (special needs) education.
