At your own pace
This flexible study path is aimed at adults who want to combine studies with a job and/or family, or who want to retrain or reorientate themselves on the labour market. No specific prior education is required.
The model distance learning pathway comprises four years of 45 credits. It offers the programme components of the bachelor's degree in Interior Design in alternative teaching and examination formats. With us, studying in distance learning means studying independently with personal guidance and fixed weekly contact moments. This allows you to study at your own pace and in a flexible way. For internships, you can choose from various formulas that allow you to combine your studies with work and/or family.
In the online learning environment, you will find all the information you need to master the material independently. Learning paths have been developed to guide you through the material and exercises. Mandatory contact moments with lecturers and fellow students are scheduled for each course unit. These moments take place on Friday afternoons from 14:00 to 18:30. During these moments, the lecturers provide you with theoretical frameworks and guide you through your design process.
The registration procedure for this course starts with a general information session and a personal intake interview.

blended study path for alumni
Starting in September 2025, KASK & Conservatorium will launch a blended learning programme, specially developed for interior design alumni (contact and distance education).
This 26-credit continuing education programme offers you the opportunity to expand your playing field, tailored to your interests and ambitions within interior design. In the final year of your programme, you were able to choose a practical focus. Through this programme, you can also specialise in one of the other focuses.
You can choose between:
- Concept & Spatiality
- Interior Finishing & Advice
- Temporary Installations
- Furniture & Design
Each programme spans one academic year and consists of 15 fixed teaching days on Friday afternoons. During these sessions, you will receive guidance from a specialist or expert from the field. In addition, you will continue to work independently on assignments that tie in with the lessons on campus. Thanks to this compact structure, the learning programme can be perfectly combined with a job, internship or additional studies.
How to register for the continuing education programme?
You can register for this study path from 28 June onwards. Registration is done via a credit contract for 26 credits. If you wish, you can expand this with one or more electives (3 credits per course).
