It is important that we know who you are. If you wish to study with us, you must first register. Do not wait too long to do so, and be as complete as possible. This will enable us to check in time whether you meet our admission requirements.
What you need to upload
- A clear portrait photo, which will be used for your student card
- A copy of your diploma + translation (if applicable)
- Identity card/passport
- Pay the registration fee (for academic entrance exams)
PLEASE NOTE! Only the candidate's details are accepted; we do not accept parents' email addresses or telephone numbers.
Registration by degree
Professional bachelors
Only pre-registration is required for professional bachelor's degrees.
You will have the opportunity to finalise your enrolment at the end of June.
If you have a foreign diploma, you will find a link in your confirmation email allowing you to complete an additional form. Here you upload the necessary documents and provide us with more information.

We cannot enrol you until we have received all the documents:
- Physically authenticated copy of your diploma (copy of your diploma, original authentication),
- Language certificate level Vantage B2 or equivalent.
NON-EEA student
If you need a visa to come to Belgium, you must send a authenticated copy of your diploma by post. Only then can we send you an invitation that will help you obtain a visa.
PLEASE NOTE! Certifying your diploma can take some time, so start this process in good time.
Academic bachelors

You can register before you have completed your preparatory file.
For our academic bachelor's programmes, you must first register for an entrance exam. You can choose which session you wish to participate in. We recommend that all international candidates choose the first sessions in May or July. This will ensure that you receive your results in good time and have enough time to get your documents in order.
Please note that all etrance exams take place in person at our Ghent campus.

Master
To start one of our master's programmes, register for an orientation test. You will find the deadlines and dates for the various programmes.
Start the process in good time, as processing your application and authenticating foreign diplomas can take a long time.
Other degrees
All other types of programmes (advanced bachelor, advanced master, postgraduate, micro-credential) have tailor-made enrolment procedures. It is best to check the steps for each graduating option.
Academic bachelor - Entrance exam

Master - oriënteringsproeven
In your registration confirmation email, you will receive a link to the KASK & Conservatory application form. Here you will need to upload a number of administrative documents, as well as provide information about your artistic practice. You can also indicate whether you are eligible for a scholarship. This step must be completed before the application deadline expires!
Professional bachelors
Make sure you are aware of the tuition fees.
After enrolment, you will receive an email asking you to pay the tuition fees on your HoGent account.
Have you prepared all the documents required to meet the admission requirements?
Then, at the end of June, we can finalise your enrolment.
Foreign diploma
Once we have received your authenticated diploma and language certificate, you will receive an invitation to book an appointment to complete your enrolment (end of August/September). During this appointment, we will go through all the information you have provided. You can also request your submitted documents back. This appointment will take place in person at the student office.
In some cases, an appointment is not necessary and you will receive online confirmation that your enrolment has been completed.
NON-EER student
If you need a visa to come to Belgium, you must send a certified copy of your diploma by post. Only then can we send you an invitation that will help you obtain a visa.

academic bachelors

You have passed the test, congratulations! You will receive an email with instructions to finalise your enrolment. For regular enrolments, this is all done online.
International student
To finally enrol in our programmes as an international candidate, you must meet our language and diploma requirements.
Physically certified copy of your diploma (copy of your diploma, original certification),
Language certificate level Vantage B2 or equivalent, or proof that you are enrolled in a language course.
Once you have prepared the above documents, you can book an appointment to complete your enrolment (end of August/September). During this appointment, we will go over all the information you have provided. Please bring your documents with you to the appointment. This appointment will take place in person at the student office.
Masters
If you do not have Belgian nationality, you must register with the immigration office of the city where you are staying. The procedure depends on your status and your situation.
