Maria yearns for a life as in The Sound of Music (1965), the international blockbuster about an uninhibited nun, also named Maria, who becomes the gouvernante of the von Trapp family.

To get as close as possible to that life, she tries to reenact the film in its entirety.

Maria sings every song, she climbs every mountain.

Maria embraces Maria and never lets go of her.

The Sont of Mjoezik is a duet between a young woman and the silver screen, between an aspiring actress and the characters who shaped her.

Balancing on the edge of a hopeful childhood and a promising future, she tries to be what she once imagined she would become.

But as she directs herself to perfection, her body changes.

She grows, but the silver screen does not.
