Hans Leinfelder and Bruno Notteboom (KU Leuven, Faculty of Architecture) and Ruben Joye and Sylvie Van Damme (HoGent-KASK) want to create social support for reducing paving in open space. Everyone knows some structure (building, pavement,...) in his/her environment whose demolition would benefit the Flemish open space and landscape. Yet the effective demolition of those structures often seems unmentionable and they remain "hard lumps in the land take. Lecturers will work with their students to compile information about these structures, formulate suggestions for effective demolition, and suggest alternative uses for the sites after demolition.
