Boeks

BOEKS is a platform for books on the Bijloke site in Ghent. Each edition, book, creator and publisher take centre stage for an evening in the 15th-century cloister gallery that links the Kunstenbibliotheek with STAM. Afterwards, they stick to walls, ceiling and floor there. This is how a BOEKS collection is created along the way.

BOEKS celebrates printed matter thick and thin, young and old, unique and serial, legible and illegible. Above all, BOEKS loves and highlights exactly those books that demand it, because they are good, still unheard of, or tired of shelf and box. BOEKS collaborates, gives context, supports and produces. The platform brings text, visual art and design into focus.
